All three of my girls love it. You can definitely move freely in the shoes and always ask to wear them when cycling. My eldest loves to put gloves on her handrails to avoid hurting her hands. They smell VERY bad. We opened the package which smelled faintly of perfume and we were greeted by a very strong stinky smell. The product clearly did not have enough time to release gas after production. We washed them and hoped the smell would go away but that didn't happen. I like it a lot! I bought a cheaper brand from jmb for 19.99, basically a plastic knee with elastics. But after a couple of socks, maybe 6-7 socks, the elastic completely stretched out and became unwearable. And she only used it when she rode her bike.
