I have both versions. I used the 538 GPH version for my IM NUVO40 AIO tank as a back pump. I know I use it in my large aquarium to run a UV sterilizer. I use the smaller one on my IM NUVO10 AIO and it's perfect for a reversible camera. Both pumps are silent. Excellent pump. It's small and quiet. It's also probably too strong for the Nuvo 10 at its lowest settings. Its lowest setting is still significantly stronger than the stock pump. The water cannot flow through the system fast enough, so the water level on the main display will rise. Elevated water levels on the main display can cause water to leak out as a siphon forms under the clips that the top sits on. I've bought 2 of these and a smaller version so far. I would say they are probably the best pump for the money currently. Overall they're not the best, but definitely better than anything I've had in this price range if you care about noise levels.
