InstallerParts Flat Screen TV Ceiling Mount 2342 "

This mount is perfect... having trimmed the top to shorten the part coming from the ceiling. This was easy to do with a hacksaw and with a little polishing with fine sandpaper and some paint it looked great. You will also need to drill a 1/4" hole about 1" above the bottom after trimming off the excess if you need to do this.

Pros
  • Looks great
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for seniors

Don't touch it once installed

I got this for a touchscreen monitor - so it must be solid - I tightened the screws and it feels really bad - it moves too much on the mounting shaft , It won't fall, but the goal is for the post to be stationary, which it isn't - it needs the top bar to have 2 screws, it has one, so it has a little hinge on the hinge. under the ceiling, not good - just another 4 inches at the ceiling joint and 1 extra hole and this would eliminate the downside, while I'm looking for an alternative this is…

Great for the price

Used this to hang a fairly heavy 40 inch JVC TV and had no problems with it. Considering the price, 5 stars seems reasonable, but there are a few caveats: Adjust the height of the system going through both tubes, which means you'll need to run cables with large plugs before tying everything up. Setup changes in the passage of time. Vertical adjustment requires removing the TV and repositioning the screws. The up/down tilt is only partially adjustable, and the clip that holds it feels a bit…

Confused Instructions in pictures only

I do not recommend it at all. The instructions I received were just pictures. Very confusing and misleading images. It took us over 3 hours to install. Nothing has been marked. He's crooked, he's thin. The only reason I left it is because it is in a small room that was added for dogs. I wouldn't have that in my usual home. However, it's full motion, which is nice. I didn't even understand how to hide the wires from the pictures! And in case you are wondering, I am an nccco fitter and my son who

Save your money.: TV and video

junk. Although all the necessary screws/hardware are said to be included, they are of very poor quality and the wall plugs are practically useless. Only one small screw is used at the junction where the rod attaches to the ceiling mount so it doesn't hang straight. Also, the ceiling connector cover is not properly seated. Terrible instructions. The tubes are too narrow to put cables through unless you thread everything through before hanging. Used with a very light 32" LCD and does not hang…

Get what you pay for but this can be beat.

When installing, you cannot move or change the position of the head where the TV is attached. This is based on the screw orientation, which you don't know until you install or read this post. The actual head doesn't rotate, so if you attach 2 bolts to the beam, it deflects 45 degrees and hardly compensates for the rotation of the vortex. The stand attaches to the strut with a single sliding screw. Less than idle and doesn't feel entirely safe. The column moves with the least effort. It has…

This is compared to a wall mount. Easy win!

I can only talk about how this compares to a wall mount as this is my first ceiling mount. First impressions: It was heavy but lighter and a lot easier than I expected which is good. I have used a few wall mounts over the years, they are much heavier and more difficult to mount. I like that it's easy enough and I can install it myself because I really don't want to pay anyone to install it. This ceiling mount outperforms the wall mount in terms of the flexibility it gives you. Due to their…

I recommend this extra precaution

Versatility doesn't always mean versatility. It didn't fit on the back of our TV. We had to attach a piece of wood to the back of the TV to use this. Also be warned: I wouldn't buy this because of the larger TV that is said to be able to fit. We bought this for a 40"-42" TV and I'm not sure this flimsy mount can support a fairly heavy TV, especially when hanging from the ceiling. I'm still waiting for the big bang (not just one) when my TV falls to the floor. I hope not. We took extra…
