Sous vide program not working

My Instant Pot arrived on Saturday - the first pressure cooker I've had. After learning the sous vide method, I became more interested in it than pressure cooking! I followed the instructions in the email to familiarize myself with the device and did a first test run. Everything seemed to work according to the instructions. I decided to make my first real sous vide challenge with a small piece of beef tenderloin. Again following the instructions in the letter I got to the water heating butโ€ฆ

save your money Actually worse than Ultra.

This product was obviously brought to the market too early. It takes longer to heat up than the Ultra. The manual mentions modes that are not available or not documented. For example, there is a "rice" mode, but there's nothing in the manual that describes how it works, how to use it, or what it does. When I contacted Instant Pot customer service for an explanation, they said just use pressure cook instead. And the included recipe book only has recipes for other Instant Pots. no recipe forโ€ฆ

Pros
  • UL certified with 13 safety features, new automatic ventilation, lid lock and more. Precise temperature control within plus/minus 1ยฐC or 1.8ยฐF enables sous vide cooking
Cons
  • No instructions

Bring back the joy of cooking according to plan. (new update)

Already used 2 times! Made Beef Stroganoff in less than 45 minutes with prep. And tonight I made 2 lbs of Carrot & Potato Eye Broth in under 2 hours with prep. THE BEST tasted like it had been cooked all night. Growth just collapsed. I would recommend the Max if you don't have one to start with just because the automatic vape release is safer than the other you have to release manually; Steam no longer burns. But if you already have one, not sure if it will cost you extra money to update itโ€ฆ

Pros
  • 15psi sustained pressure, not only cooks food faster, you can now pressure cann at home;
Cons
  • There are problems

The main upgrade here is the touchpad, which is easy to use. I love the Max's ability to reach pressures of 12 to 15 psi. As with the Ultra, there's a heat indicator, but the Max also gives you a temperature reading as it heats up. When the device reaches pressure, it automatically releases vapor in short bursts, unlike the IP Ultra which is silent during pressurization. The finished cooking results are basically the same for Max and Ultra. The only thing I don't like is the escape of steamโ€ฆ

Pros
  • New brushed stainless steel outer case, stainless steel inner plate and 304 food grade stainless steel inner bowl;
Cons
  • I won't say anything
