The block is remarkably well built. I just didn't expect it to be as durable or as beautiful. I read in a review that the top is not suitable for dyeing. and this man was right. Sturdy, beautiful table. But I was so disappointed when I assembled the box and put it on the table. The front panel is not in the center of the opening. There's a gap on the right side and an even bigger, ugly gap at the top of the box. I am extremely disappointed. It's sloppy and what you would expect from inferior furniture. Revane sent me a replacement, but that shouldn't have happened. They said I had no way of contacting the company. The seller is not the company that makes this table, so

I bought two of these for bedside tables because they are 28 inches tall. They were well packaged and assembly was easy with the few screws provided in the drilled holes. These tables are very durable and well made. I dyed them dark mahogany and they held up well. I applied 2 coats of stain and 2 coats of urethane wet sanding with 400 grit sandpaper between coats. This is a sturdy table made in Vietnam from dense, heavy Parawood rather than cheap chipboard. I was very impressed with the milled, clearly written assembly instructions. The packaging was also well done; Plenty of hard outer pads and foam inserts to protect smooth surfaces.
