I bought a set of these bow lights for my Ranger after having trouble with an Atwood light. I installed them just above the fairing and routed the wires through the existing hole from the old trolling motor and connected them to the switch. These lanterns are much brighter than the original stake lanterns and illuminate the shore on either side just enough to see when walking down canals or small rivers. Definitely recommend them.

I fitted this to my rail by removing the insert piece and it fitted well. Gave 5 stars for ease of installation, but you can imagine my installation method wasn't the easiest. However, the complication was not related to the product. Adhesion was good and strong and lasted 9 months before I sold the boat. I will order another set and install it on my new boat. Good brightness and not a single LED has failed in 9 months of owning this product. 5 stars is my recommendation.

Let me start by saying that I've tried a number of these, ordered some from Amazon, others from eBay etc. How they hold up remains to be seen. I will confirm their quality by opening the package. They came quickly, they were easy to install which only took me about an hour due to cutting the rail to install and a few modifications to have done to them. Best thing I can do is lose the front light tower that always seems to get in the way of my trolling motor. And it gives me a few extra inches of bow mobility for loading and loading or fishing. Good idea but very poorly implemented. The waterproof plastic that encases the LEDs is very soft and flexible, but the LED strip itself is not. At some point before I received it, someone bent it too much and broke the strip, causing only half of the red LEDs to light up. Didn't have time to return it, just wanted to throw it in the bin but noticed the strip on the separator was torn - so I cut the plastic, soldered it back and filled it with silicone ointment and wrapped it in duct tape ; then
