💪 Irwin Hanson 53700 Spiral Extractor: Effortlessly Remove Tough Screws with Precision Review

Fragile. #1 EZ Out broke on first use. Irwin/Hanson quality seems to be inconsistent lately. I have been using Irwin tools for many years. I hope it was an accident.

Drill bits look nice. But I was unable to complete the simple task of removing two screws from a screen door. With the new Dewalt drill, neither the puller nor the drill left a dent. Their usefulness may depend on the materials and the situation. If I have success with later work I will update this.

later I tried to use an extractor with a drill press, I couldn't unscrew the screw. I ended up paying a bike shop to cut off the sides of the bolt head to line it up, which then allowed it to be removed. It looks like a good set of extractors and I'll give them another try before making a final decision. It didn't break, that's why I'm giving it 3 stars.
