I've used this several times to drill DWV holes in 2x6 boards. Works great but needs a drill. I overheated my battery's battery, but it cuts like a hot knife through butter with a corded drill. Very happy with this drill press.
The description should include a warning that this drill should only be used for rough work with an EXTREMELY HEAVY, LARGE, slow rotating (less than 350rpm) drill. Like a Milwaukee electric angle drill at low speed. I bought it hoping it would be very sharp (it isn't) and would use my very powerful 18 volt Makita drill at low speed to make a clean hole in wood doors for a 2-1/8"" doorknob .I was dead wrong This drill will rip your arm off and probably destroy your $500-2000 door..Like anythingβ¦
Purchased as a stock deal. The only apparent reason for the discount was crumpled packaging. The bit comes with a replaceable Central screw supplied. Easy and quick drilling in double material. Better management than I expected. I encountered a nail that I could have drilled with a little more effort but decided not to risk it. The nail was reduced by half, without damaging the drill and after removal the nail continued to drill with no problem.The cutting edges are so pronounced that even ifβ¦
