Irwin Industrial Tools 53700 Extractor Review

Has 2 hex head screws with head removed in fixed location. Tried all sorts of tricks and tools from a rubber band to a light extractor but nothing worked before. Due to my limited experience with this set, I found it important to drill slowly and deep enough to hammer the extractor in for a tight fit. I had a broken stainless steel propeller in the transom of my boat. Using the smallest drill bit in this kit along with cutting fluid and a good, sturdy drill/hand, I was finally able to drill a hole deep enough to use the extractor successfully. Drilling stainless steel is difficult and time consuming, but will not burn and/or dull the drill bit. Using pullers/screwdrivers isn't for everyone, it's easy to apply crooked pressure and break them in the hole. With larger parts it's easier to weld…

Admittedly, this is one person's experience, so take it with caution. But I am completely satisfied with this product and would definitely recommend it. I had a small bolt that came off flush in a breakable mechanism. After trying some stupid ideas to get this handy with my tools I gave up and ordered this.
