Tapered drill with widened flutes for drilling fast, clean pilot holes and ensures tight fit for screws. Adjustable four-cutter counter bore cuts and clears chips quicker for fast, smooth countersinking. Counter bore attaches to flats on shank with two hex screws for a secure fit and can be adjusted for controlled pilot hole depth. 1/4" quick-change shank reduces slipping in standard chucks and is compatible with all 1/4" quick-change chucks, including impact drills. Counterbore Size - 7/16 inch. Plug Size - 7/16 inch.

The head is separated from the bit.

This has happened to me twice. Once with the original order and once with a replacement. When drilling the first hole in the 1/2 plywood, the bit separated from the 1/4 hex shaft rendering the bit unusable. I'm a fan of Irwin tools but this product is very cheap and useless.
