Disappointing Invisible Latch for Cabinets

My analysis of this product showed that it's of poor quality and not worth the price. It's difficult to install and doesn't provide a secure lock for cabinets. The chrome coating looks cheap and easily scratches off. As a hesitant buyer of Tools and Home Improvement products, I would not recommend this latch to anyone.

Pros
  • It's invisible
Cons
  • Poor quality, difficult to install, not secure, cheap coating.

excellent locking; Alignment template needs editing

Latch works fine but needs to be perfectly aligned to release. The template intended for alignment was slightly off, which was obvious because I had to move the door to close it. It was a bug - once closed I couldn't open it. I was able to remove the door from its hinges, stick a screwdriver in to unscrew the latch, and secure it by manually aligning the components. Now it works great and I'm happy with it. I gave this item four stars due to the offset template.

Pros
  • Hardware
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Works great except.

Latch disappears to create beautiful doors that may not look like a door! should last forever. That's just the latch resting on a plastic pin! It is not bearing, but this pin is broken off. The tip of the screwdriver is pointing where the plastic pin should be. Guys the latch already has 1 brass pin to hold it in place, what's that little cheap plastic piece molded into the case? Another 10 cents of metal and 2 more holes and it would be perfect!
