quality tool. Screw-in hinge

As advertised. Good tools but there are limitations in strength. They must be hardened to bite the screw, but that also means they are brittle. I've had a glitch before, but not really the tool's fault. I had to use heat and a larger center hole.

I wish I had had it sooner

This was exactly what I was looking for to repair the Symmonds (sp?) valve. I had to call a plumber because I couldn't remove the hot water seat, even with the Symmonds kit. The plumber used this tool and fixed the problem in 5 minutes and then charged me a lot of money, much more than this tool. After that I bought one. Lesson learned.

Square end for handle? Vise pad

3 stars, he lost 2 because:1. Star: bent (after heating with a torch), the bit was bent but the brake bleed fitting is stuck - #2. Star: Square end looks like 13/64 I don't have a 13/64 square tool nut? Used to fasten and rotate 2 different vise grippers on the end before making a stuck heated bleed screw. Remove the broken bleed screw, the project failed.

They are hard wearing and work great

They worked on my engine cover bolts which were so rusty and worn I had to replace them so I could change the oil. One star deducted because the recommended drill size seems wrong. The instructions recommend a 1/4 bit for the #4 extractor, but after drilling, the extractor didn't catch - the hole was too big. I had to make the hole slightly larger with another drill bit and go to a #5 extractor/use an adjustable wrench to remove and it caught the edges perfectly and came out with ease. They…

Great price easy to use and clear easy instructions

5 sizes, good easy guide to choosing screw size. Drill 7/64. Steps: 1. Use a center punch and a hammer to make a starting point in the broken bolt.2. Started drilling and spraying WD-40 from time to time to keep the drill happy.3. Drilled 1/4 to 1/3 inch deep.4. Insert bolt extractor by hand and turn by pressing until it clicks into place.5. Switched to the Cresent wrench, took my time and it worked. This is the first time I have broken a bolt in my 40 years as a home mechanic and this is the…
