It's a lot more malleable than you think. .

It's a lot more flexible than you think. I tried using it to frame a paper mache project, but I'll probably stick with wire hangers from now on. Three stars instead of one because it works really well for jewelry projects!

Good product, annoying crimping and overpriced

Good quality rebar - soft and pliable as rebar should be. But as mentioned in another review, the construction of the coil is more than annoying. And I see no logic in paying VERY expensive shipping to have a small flat coil shipped in a very large box. Go to ebay or a number of reputable craft stores. You can find much larger spools of quality wire, properly wound, at a much lower price.

Good for my needs Good for wire and rebar

This soft wire starts life as a long, thin piece. It is folded in half and rolled up. I use it to create drawing frame layouts. It has the benefit of being reusable, so I can make changes to any creature I've wired. Because it's easy to handle, it won't hold its shape if you throw heavy fabric over it without proper internal support. It's lightweight and when I'm done with a piece I can just roll it back up. The curved part in the middle of the hole in the picture is where the crimp is. With a…

Ideal for sculpting

This wire is easy to handle and ideal for sculpting. I use this for my large sculptures (mostly figures) with floral wire wrapped around the skeleton to better hold the tone. I don't live in an area where rebar is readily available at an art store so this was a great find! I've seen reviews of people complaining that the wire is too soft. It really depends on the application. As I said, I use it for sculpting. Once I have a basic shape I start throwing clay at it which solidifies the desired…

Pros

what I use them for because they are great.

It won't hold up for big projects. they are very light. They cannot be used as a stand. Now I'm working on a sculpture of an owl. The cables can hold a span of 12 inches on each side. and hold the shape but I tried to use wires to create a solid skeleton for the bird. You'll need heavier gauge wire for all of the base work on larger projects. In the picture you can see one side of the wing and the base I tried to use this wiring for. Once the other wing was completed, it fell. but the wings…

Worth every penny. Helped me make my best Halloween props.

I ordered this material to make cheap barbed wire to wrap around a baseball bat for my Halloween costume this year. After buying fake barbed wire (because the seller posted a misleading picture) and getting frustrated with the sad look of the laces, I scoured the internet for different ways to make fake barbed wire. Anything from dipping cords in gray paint/diluted with glue to thinking about buying real barbed wire as it's for Halloween only and not to be used as a prop at a convention…
