Description of ๐Ÿšด Jagwire Road Pro Brake DIY Cable Kit: Polished Stainless Cables for SRAM and Shimano Bikes, 10 Vibrant Colors Available!

The Road Pro Brake Cable and Sleeve Kit is performing, durable and lightweight. Designed for high-end road bikes, the sheath is incompressible as it is reinforced with Kevlar to optimise braking performance. The jacket has a pre-lubricated inner liner (SLICK-LUBE) that reduces friction and improves the feeling of braking. The wiring is compatible with Sramet Shimano brands.

Great set, has everything you need.

I used this on a new bike build. The housing and cables are of high quality and work well with the TRP Spyre mechanical disc brakes. A non-compressed housing is essential here and significantly improves braking performance. The kit also includes the required ferrules and end caps and cable dampeners (black). The end caps are of good quality and come in a variety of shapes, one of which has a pointed end that goes well with the barrel adjuster on the caliper and makes adjustment much easierโ€ฆ

Nice Kit for Sport

This kit contains everything you need to replace brake sleeves and cables. I even routed the body from the shifter to the rear brake and I still have some left over (my favorite method of routing cables in the frame). The cables appear to be well constructed and low-friction. I've only been using them on my bike for a few weeks, but so far they're working great. One note: I bought a used bike (2015 Specialized Crux EVO) and they relocated the shifter cable housing to the rear brake. and passโ€ฆ

fairly basic stamped steel bushings

Having worked as a mechanic for a number of years I am a little tired of aftermarket cable kits compared to Campy/Shimano OEM kits. First off, they are expensive for what you get, especially the Campagnolo kits. No gaskets, fairly simple stamped steel bushings, and the same spiral cable jacket used for a century. You also have the choice of black or white. I've been using Jagwire kits for a decade now when they had a kevlar road kit that still works fine on one of my road bikes with theโ€ฆ
