The cheapest way to improve braking performance. I .

The most economical way to improve braking performance. I have used this on mechanical disc brakes. The value of bulk packaging is incredible.

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • Available in white only

Significantly improves braking performance

Used with my TRP Spyres. Significantly improves braking performance - a must for anyone using mechanical disc brakes. It's harder to cut than regular casing, so I recommend good quality sharp knives + a file or dremel.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • No

Good upgrade for mechanical disc brakes

This is a good suggestion, especially if you have a bike with mechanical disc brakes that require full bike cable routing. The kit also includes a few useful gadgets. It's good for multiple bikes depending on how much housing each needs. Noticeably better braking performance.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Almost as good as hydraulic brake lines.

I am adapting a 21 speed derailleur bike for use as a motorized bike with a 4.4hp 2-stroke chainsaw engine. The motor turns the pedal crankshaft via a reduction gear system and can reach speeds in excess of 40 miles per hour. I can't afford a fully hydraulic disc brake system so I bought these brake cables. I use a hybrid hydraulic cable operated caliper and the design of these cables gives great feel and feedback under braking. These non-compression brake cables cost more than regular brake…

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • I don't really like it, it's ok

Great housing for any brake

Got this to build a Crust Bombora with Spyre brakes and double wishbones. This is a full body length XXL frame. While I'm not thrilled with the Spyre brakes, the compression-free casing makes them feel a lot more solid than the wound ones. I've also installed it on a few bikes with rim brakes. Not a game changer with good dual pivot brakes, but certainly less squishy overall braking feel. I bought some Jagwire connectors to use the coil housing for the first 6 inches or so from the lever to…

Great product for bike brakes and parts

This compression free case really makes the difference. feet long. The difference in feel compared to the normal Jagwire case is not noticeable. But that's not necessary either, as the regular Jagwire will get the job done too, you just have to push harder and absorb some of the sponginess that comes with the Jagwire body. standard brake housing. I was able to lock up the rear wheel with all my 200 pounds in the saddle. But without compression it feels better, the pads bite earlier and harder…

Pros
  • One year trial

  • Almost never
