Powered by a Tekro mini V-brake. Just enough.

Powered by Tekro Mini V-brake. Has enough adjustment for me to release the V-brakes with road levers. Very solid quality.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Some nuances

Didn't work best in bike brake cables and housings

I've tried using them to make shifting a bit more precise but none of the settings did anything and I've even tried flipping them and everything , and they just didn't work . I spent most of the cable and case thinking it would help me.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Hard to tell

I've found Jagwire quality to be dependable.

Need an inline brake controller for my old '74 Raleigh Super Course. It was a great alternative. Low profile, well made and can be installed anywhere in the case. (I placed it up front, between the brifter and the front cable guard.) I've found that you can count on Jagwire for quality.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Not sure

Worked as expected.

I was lucky enough to have a friend who was a bicycle mechanic. On a recent bike fit he did for me, we raised the handlebars a bit which caused the brake cable to stretch. He told me to order this part, he installed it and it works as expected. He said it would come in handy if I ever had to send my bike to a race.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Ordered twice and received wrong size

Normal barrel adjustment range, hard plastic in the middle and some metal on the outer ends. The keg looks stylish too, but I'm giving two stars because I had to wait 4 weeks. Two weeks since I got the 5mm barrel when I ordered the 4mm barrel and another 2 weeks because I ordered another 4mm barrel and got the 5mm barrel. I need to go to the nearest USP store to return these items which is 2.6 miles away.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Boring pack

Easy install, normal range of adjustment

I recently upgraded to a wider wheelset, I have V-brakes and aero levers so no adjustment other than detaching the cable. I wanted to be able to swap out my old wheelset for gravel tires and just flip the barrel to adjust the pads. Unfortunately, they did not offer a sufficient adjustment range. However, they look great, are easy to install and are still used for small adjustments. One star off because the click isn't very pronounced.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

There must be tuners!

Took me about 20 minutes to install these two bikes (I only installed them for the rear brakes so one per bike). You definitely need to first adjust the cables as close to ideal as possible THEN they will do their job. I bought these for some monster Frankstein bikes I created from our two hybrids (installed a drop handlebar and brake levers) and it was driving me nuts because I couldn't get the rear brakes straight out of JUST adjusting the cable. I needed either half a millimeter more orโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Protection

good quality for bike brake cables and housings

If you want to test them out before installing, just plug a piece of housing into the small end as shown, no cable needed, just housing. Unlike some other regulators, they require a case and will not work without a case installed at that end. This is good as it allows you to adjust with one hand while riding, as some other (cheap) adjusters require 2 hands which is inconvenient. This night will be obvious to some but I'm sure people returned them thinking they wouldn't work. A test beforeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Ideal for small houses
Cons
  • Safety
