Rusty Piece - Asian Knives

This knife was bought as a gift for my son. Three months after I gave him this knife, he visited my son and his family. I couldn't believe that knife looked like a piece of crap. Awkward!

This is real Japanese quality!

A cool knife, very sharp, ergonomic and practical for cutting and slicing fish, meat and looking at this knife I understand that the Japanese know how to make them. I hope my review will be useful to you.

My new favorite knife!

I don't often write reviews, but the quality of this knife definitely deserves attention! Cuts through paper like butter, almost like a samurai sword in your kitchen. Well balanced and simply my new favorite knife! Worth the money, cheap for what you get. I will definitely be ordering more soon! Love it!

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • I have doubts

Very important! for cutlery and knife accessories

I love this knife, just what I was looking for for chopping onions. I'm also a fan of carbon steel and know how to take care of it (it takes work folks. Forget the dishwasher. Requires maintenance. Immediate cleaning and oiling after each use. And honing). I will buy a matching santuko. Great quality for this price!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Hamon? Not really. Fits Asian knives

The ham on this knife was not a real ham. I'm really disappointed in that. I'm sure the knife will get the job done, but it seems to me that the hardness of the "ham" is the same throughout the knife, which I think is deceptive. Making it look like a real Japanese knife is cheap. In addition, the handle is quite small (short) and is a bit uncomfortable in the hand.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • Not sure

My favorite knife. on cutlery and knife accessories

The only knives that stay sharp for a long time are carbon steel, not stainless steel. I've worked in the kitchen cutting meat and vegetables and I've found that stainless steel needs frequent sharpening to be safe. High carbon knives are productive and safe tools in any kitchen. Although more expensive than stainless, this knife is good value. I expect this to be my favorite and most useful.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Hard to say

WOW.what a knife - Kitchen & Dining

I cook at home all the time and I use several sushi knives. I've been using 2 inexpensive sushi knives from H-Mart for 10 years. It's okay if you're just starting out with a sushi knife. If you want the next level sushi knife without spending a lot then this is IT. Found this at Revain and was NOT disappointed. They say it's made in Japan and you can tell the difference. The knife is more balanced and the metal is thicker, meaning it's stronger and more reliable to use. This knife is definitely

Kodeba 105 mm poultry carving knife

There are many different knife shapes on this list. I have a Kodeba 105mm that I bought for slaughtering poultry. It has the qualities needed for the job: it's short enough for easy maneuverability, the blade is thick enough that it's not hard to lean on some gristle to pierce it, and it starts sharp, stays sharp and can be easily sharpened. Cutting a bird into 4, 8, or 10 pieces is pretty easy with any decent chef's knife and a little practice. It gets more difficult when you want to roll the…

Amazing Knife!: Cutlery & Knife Accessories

I've never seen such conflicting product reviews before. However. Let me put my five cents in. I've been a professional chef for many years and I know several Japanese brands. This knife I ordered is not very expensive with excellent quality for its value. And I have no doubt that I have a Japanese knife. Very light, easy to use, it's like an extension of my hand. About how to hold your knife…haha…. Of course, if you hold a chef's knife in water, it will rust.... Just like there aren't any…
