This is the perfect solution for those who have a faded or knotty armrest. Accessories just snap into place! The door does NOT need to be disassembled. We were able to install it in less than ten minutes! Now it looks a lot better and is a lot cheaper than going to the dealer to find a fix.

Very happy with this decision. That should have been the upholstery of the door handles in the first place. The original fairing fell apart and I sealed it with duct tape. I never thought there was an easy way to fix this. Installation took less than a minute and every time I open and close the door I feel great.

excellent product. The tutorial video wasn't very detailed but added a more detailed installation video at the seller's request. A step by step guide would be really helpful. Installation is not easy for a beginner. It will take you 2-3 times to figure it out. The product is excellent.

Next day delivery was great but the best part was how easy it was. I watched a short video showing how to remove just the back panel which takes about 2 seconds. , and then this insert sits on the melted part of the handle. It popped up straight away and looks great. After watching the video, which lasted a minute, it took less than 15 seconds to remove the backplate and insert this new grip insert. Fits perfectly on my 2016 X3 Xdrive 28i.

This door pocket insert only took a few minutes to install and the results look like new. Using the trim tool, push the flat part of the factory part away from the door and pull up and out. Slide this replacement insert back into place and you're done! Can't comment on durability yet but based on the feeling it should last and if/when it does wear out it will be more due to the slick surface texture rather than the sticky gummy finish which degrades like the original. This is such an ingenious design. I have never attempted to repair an armrest that is peeling off because other kits have required removing the door panel and burning through the plastic welds. I wasn't interested. This product simply slides in and covers your old door knob. I removed most of the old rubber lip, but it wasn't necessary.
