I love the gooseneck and the price isn't outrageous, but if you're just making a cup of coffee/tea and don't need to fill it all, the thermometer will drop the temperature. Maybe their next iteration could include a longer thermometer to reach the bottom or something. Works great when full (or mostly full).

I love beauty and a thermometer. There are 2 disadvantages:. (1) Since it doesn't have a whistle or auto shut off, the plastic parts holding the thermometer to the lid will melt and burn if you neglect/forget to catch it before the water gets too weak.
