My 92 year old aunt LOVES this phone! She hears him calling, even in the next room, and she can hear me on the phone with and without hearing aids. Dialing a number is very easy as the numbers are huge. If your loved one has hearing and vision problems, this phone is for you!

I love this phone. My father is 93 years old and has not been able to use a phone for years due to his hearing loss (we have tried several other models with no success). The first day we plugged it in he was able to talk to his sister who lives 500 miles away and my four siblings. He was literally in tears. The relief we feel is indescribable; Since he lives alone and independently, being able to check him out is of paramount importance.

I bought this phone for my father who is hearing impaired. Volume NO where what is written in the description or in many reviews. The volume is only enough for one person without hearing loss. You cannot answer a call with the handset and switch to speakerphone. You must answer a call on the speaker to use it. Calls could not be made using the speaker. I absolutely cannot recommend this phone. It has been returned!

One star reason. Two phones died after a power outage. My mother lives in a nursing home. In less than a month there have been two incidents where the power went out but then came back on. Nursing homes have generators. But in both cases the phone was off and not working. Bought my first cell phone. She had it for several weeks. Everything is fine until the first shutdown. This phone is just perfect for my very elderly father. The boost function works very well and the sound quality is excellent. It is very easy to program phone numbers for automatic dialing. My father now has no hearing problems for callers and we have no hearing problems.
