Was hoping that the JBL5 battery could last all day outdoors as advertised but after two attempts with two different JBL5s the battery only lasted 4 hours at the beach. The sound quality is much better than the JBL4, but if it can't play music all day as it claims, it's worth looking elsewhere.

Updated from Board 3 just because I'm a dirty consumer who loves the latest toys and I can say the sound quality has definitely improved! JBL is still my customer of portable speakers and almost all of my friends also own jbl products. They are built to last and sound great. Unless you're a big audiophile you're probably better off buying a Charge 3 or Charge 4 to save money, but I'll say I can tell a difference in sound quality.
