The radio interference with the Rode Wireless Go 2

. Like many, I was looking for an alternative LAV microphone to use with the Rode Wireless Go 2. Unfortunately, this lav mic used in conjunction with the Wireless Go 2 gives you audible RF interference. The closer the lav mic is to the Wireless Go transmitter, the more noise you will get. Also in the standard arm's length range in typical use when you wear the transmitter on your belt or in your pocket and the microphone on your chest. it is unusable due to radio interference.

Excellent sound quality up to

Overall I am very happy with this microphone. However, after a few weeks of fairly constant use, the mic started crackling, which sounded like there was a malfunction somewhere in the mic line (sudden pops/pops/pops). When I wasn't using the mic cable, I wrapped it around the recorder, so I'm willing to admit it was my fault. However, I've always tried not to stretch the cord by pulling on the mic cable while winding it, so I'm a bit skeptical about the build quality of this mic. However, I…

Not a professional microphone, but close enough to clean up.

I used this with my Audio Technica lavalier mic (35 years in pro video). It has noticeably more noise and is comparatively muted. I was able to remove almost all of the noise in Adobe Audition and use the channel EQ in Final Cut Pro X to make a very accurate comparison (when I connected both mics together and recorded the same source). Close enough that I'm not afraid to use the mic for professional work after cleaning it. It's a spare that I keep in my bag in case something breaks. I bought a…

Works well with standalone recorders but not Rode Wireless Go

Bought a couple of these to use with an external recorder, then Zoom H6 and to use the Rodelink System backup if necessary arise. Since I have no experience with other microphones, I can say that the sound was sufficient. A foam windscreen is practically useless as you will lose it in no time. This is something that has been implemented poorly. I later bought a Rode radio system and tested them with it. These lavas pick up all sorts of sounds from Rode and should be avoided at all costs with…

This is a great mic for the price

This is a great mic for the price. I ran a parallel test with some similar mics I've had and liked for a while. It was much better for a similar price. In terms of sound, I noticed two things that I really liked: 1. The EQ curve is very good for the voice. It even works well when clipped in the center of the collar of a crew neck t-shirt. Many microphones are muted there.2. It had pretty good gain, which helps keep noise down. I have several iFP-795/iFP-895/899 recorders and this mic will…

Disappointed Best professional video accessory

I was very impressed with the construction of this microphone as well as other reviews. Unfortunately, in all the tests I ran, the audio was just muffled. I was lucky enough to come across a lava with a giant squid, which I think is the best of the budget lavas. Of course, this microphone couldn't keep up. If I hadn't had a GS I might have come to a different conclusion. All I can say is that this lava doesn't provide usable audio for recording. Perhaps it can be used for personal dictation at…

Rugged Mic - Camera & Photo

I just got this pup yesterday and I'm thrilled because I've racked my brains to figure out how to record sound at a wedding when it there's no soundboard or when I'm at the back of the room, away from the subject. I did some research and came across the TASCAM DR-05 Recorder TASCAM DR-05 Portable Digital Recorder (Version 2). I checked out YouTube video reviews to hear how the sound sounds and I was blown away. I also liked the price of these things, I couldn't pass by. I got it yesterday, and…

Pros
  • Professional voice capture, pristine sound quality, omni-directional condenser mic
Cons
  • Useless features

If you told me that this cheap lavalier bracelet from another manufacturer would perform as well or better than lapel pins that are $10-100 more expensive I don't do it. I didn't believe you But I have to say that this lavalier mic sounds amazing. I have read many reviews and heard many sample reviews on YouTube and keep coming back to this lavalier mic. At the moment I use it directly connected to a DSLR. I also use a 16 foot mic extender for longer runs. By the way, make sure that you use a…
