Excellent chopping board

Very strong, durable, beautiful chopping board I love to cook so it's perfect for me. Recommend buying oil and cream for the board to prolong the life of the board.

  • Great for a small home

This mother is huge and heavy!

But it's worth it. I love it, just be prepared for its size and thickness. If you have a small workspace, go for a smaller size. 24x18 huge but impressive!

Pros

Cons
  • I'm nervous

Very good cutting board

I gave it 1 star for easy cleaning simply because it's so big and heavy. If you have a large kitchen sink, you won't have a problem. Other than that, this is a great cutting board. It's extra large and heavy, won't slip on you and has enough space for all your slicing and dicing needs. I use it daily, if you have room for a large board that's the ticket.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Chopping boards will stain

This was an expensive purchase for me, I followed all the care instructions and every time I cleaned it it removed the stain and anything I wiped clean , colored orange. It bothered me so much that I stopped using it after cleaning it for several months and sealing it with mineral oil several times. It's also very heavy, so if you want to pull it out for use or storage, it's too bulky. I wish I could get a refund.

Pros
  • Hard wearing finish
Cons
  • Don't really like it's ok

NICE CUTTING BOARD

THE BOX THE BOARD IN THIS BOARD WAS IN WAS IN POOR CONDITION BUT THE BOARD WAS IN GOOD CONDITION EXCEPT FOR A FEW DENTS IN THE WOOD. I'M NOT SURE I SHOULD DO ANYTHING IF THE WOOD WAS PRESSED WHERE IT SHOULD BE HIT WITH SOMETHING HARD ENOUGH. AREA IS SMALL. THE ONLY OTHER PROBLEM IS TWO SMALL ROUND SPOTS COVERED AND WHITE. IT LOOKS STICKY TO ME BUT NOT SURE WHAT IT IS. I AM NOT SURE IF I SHOULD TRY TO GRIND IT OR LEAVE IT ALONE.

Pros
  • Pretty to look at
Cons
  • Makes me angry

John Boos Block Cutting Board CHY-RA03, 24 " x 18 " x 2 1/4

This cutting board is large and heavy. It's 2 1/4 inches thick. It never deforms. CHY-RA03 is made of solid American cherry wood. This is heartwood, there is no sapwood anywhere. The workmanship is excellent, there are no gaps or cracks between the glued boards. It came in a well-packaged box with a meaty and sturdy shape that matches tight-fitting styrofoam lids. Save the packaging corners for storing this cutting board. It's big and heavy, and leaving it unprotected will dent its corners. The

Nice piece of wood

The cutting board looks great. It's very well done. You see the joints but you don't feel them. Like any natural wood, the board requires maintenance. It is very important to regularly use the mystery essential oil recommended by the manufacturer. In the beginning (first 3 weeks) preferably once a week, then once a month. The oil penetrates the wood surface and protects the fibres. The so-called board cream contains beeswax and other natural ingredients and seals the surface. First use the oil,

Impressive and solid but with some issues

I took this Cherry board after sending the same board back to Maple. The original maple block was returned due to large cracks, despite following the lubrication and care instructions (see the large number of reviews from people who have experienced splits). This cherry version has not yet been split, either by serendipity or due to some inherent characteristics of the cherry. It's a beautiful finish and I love how tight the board feels. It's also softer, which I like better when cutting. The…
