Perfect for my Trek 2.1

To be honest, that's all you need to lay cables. The thing works as intended. If you are unsure of the installation direction, just do a quick Google search.

Pros
  • smoothness and low friction.
Cons
  • vulgarity

If your cables dangle a bit around the bottom bracket

I bought a used 'special' bike that needed service and this cable guide was a snug fit and allowed the front and rear derailleur cables to be held and routed. These are good cables now and my new bike works better thanks to them. Remember, cables are your friends!

Pros
  • Attaches with a screw under the bottom bracket.
Cons
  • Long Lead Time

Works as it should

After a few thousand miles on my 5 year old bike, my original part became brittle and fell apart. I went to every bike shop I could find, but none had anything like this since new bikes don't have cables that lead outside anymore. It fit perfectly and was definitely stock if you ride older bikes and plan on doing so for years to come.

Pros
  • Includes a mounting screw.
Cons
  • Skimpy Instructions

Does the Job - Cable

I bought this to convert my 2021 All-Road State 4130 from 1x to 2x. The bike came with a pre-drilled and tapped bottom bracket bracket but no bottom bracket cable guide. This was a perfect fit for BB and the screw that came with it was just the right size and thread. It fits perfectly, is easy to attach and the cable guide sits perfectly on the frame. The perfect frame solution.

Pros
  • Routes the front and rear derailleur cables in place.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
