🔧 Klein Tools JTH6M5BE 6-Inch Journeyman T-Handle Ball Hex Key - 5 mm Review

I like small tools, but the ball has a tendency to rip off the hex screws I use it on. I replaced it with a Capri T-handle hex wrench and I like it a lot better.

Great tool, way better than regular allen wrenches which break joints. This way you can put a good amount of torque on the parts of the bike that need to be torqued really well. I recommend getting a wool set, which is a lot cheaper if you're working with a regular Allen wrench.

I searched and searched for a US made T-handle wrench and thought I had found it with Klein's tools. It was more expensive than the other options, but I was fine with getting a US-made product. The item has arrived and although there is nothing wrong with it, "Slovenia" is clearly written on the handle. It was disappointing.

I love the design and practicality of this hex wrench. Feels well made and detailed. What I don't like and one of the reasons I don't use it often is the small handle. Due to its small size, it's quite uncomfortable to hold, especially when I have to make a lot of effort to tighten something. A larger handle would have made this tool a winner

I love this hex tee because it works for any application where I have oversized or oversized handles that get in the way. It's compact and lightweight, but you get the power you need, and the hardened steel tips are extremely hard-wearing. I have other T-wrenches with a more ergonomic and beefy handle, but due to the compactness I prefer this one and use others when extreme force is required, which is rare. Klein makes quality tools.

This is the perfect tool for any bike or motorcycle work. I bought 4mm, 5mm and 6mm which are the most common sizes I use. The long end of this model has a ball on the end so you can use it like a screwdriver to drive in or out longer bolts that are slightly angled and have good reach. To really tighten the screw, turn it onto the short end. The handle fits well in the hand and offers a good grip. It looks like a quality tool that I hope to use for years to come.

The tool feels good and has a nice finish. I wouldn't have too many problems with this tool if it didn't break. I use it to tighten two bolts on water sports equipment, so it's exposed to some salt water (working on land). When not in use, it lives in my car. I got corrosion on the ends despite the treatment with tef gel and lanolin. The short part broke in the plastic handle and there was hidden corrosion. I used this tool probably 20-30 times before it failed.

The price of these keys varies widely. When I bought it, it was priced at $4, which is good value for a ball-point hex wrench with a plastic handle. The handle makes the wrench easy to handle and also has a nice label on the top so you can quickly find the right size in your tool box.
