Excellent replacement part

I think the security screws are a bit redundant; You must use the tool provided if you do not have a torx security bit set. Otherwise a great replacement and the only one so far from AMZ that includes collet nuts which was the point of failure on my car. (factory strut broken after the fact, oops)

Looks better than the original

It took me 45 minutes to remove my factory bracket because it was very rusted and the nuts were spinning in the plastic. Eventually I just used a dremel and cut off the heads, but that only works if you're replacing the license plate anyway. This ran well, I hope it performs better than the factory tire in winter in MN.

My backplate is safe and I'm happy!

I've been using my 2013 BMW X1 for over a year and one side of the x2 rear panel has come loose! This kit solved my problem and now I don't have to worry about losing my pelvis. Ease of installation. The plastic flare nuts fit into the factory holes in the vehicle and are secured with the screws provided. Just screw the plate to the base and voila! Crazy!

  • Easy to read control panel

Eliminates extensive work to remove rotating license plate bolts

My car: 2005 Nissan Murano SL. My research has shown that removing rotating bolts can be extensive. However, a YouTube video showed that this article eliminated the need to remove the sunroof panel, drill out the bolts, and figure out what size bolt to use. Although listed as a BMW product, it will work on any vehicle. You may need a longer self-tapping screw, but it will work. It may be necessary to cut off rotating bolts - a mini hacksaw or dremel will do. Excellent solution, quality material

Great OEM replacement!

Great OEM replacement! I recently had to replace my license plate and found that the screws on the original bracket had rusted. This resulted in me having to drill out the old screws. After some searching, I found an ad and immediately bought it. The local dealer charged about $20 more and didn't even bother to add new screws for the plate. After removing the old one, I used new screws to attach the bracket. Everything fit perfectly! The old screws would have worked, but I replaced the…

Best available

I've had a terrible time trying to find something better than a flimsy brace that the dealer fitted to my BMW X7. I've tried many different options and settled on this one as it's the most durable I could find and also has 4 threaded holes for license plate screws (included). Most others have flimsy round threads that are wafer-thin and fall out easily, but they have hexagonal bronze inserts that seem solid enough. The mount isn't as strong as I'd like, but it's certainly the best out there. It

Not only for BMW - also suitable for Fiat 124 Spider

My wife has a 2012 BMW X5 and I was already aware of how good the bearing mount is. I wanted something similar for my 2018 Fiat 124 Spider Abarth. There are many different mounts similar to this one, but I chose this one because: 1) Stainless steel screws and washers. (The two washers are brass.) 2.) One mounting hole is oval meaning it allows for easy adjustment if the holes on the vehicle are not drilled in the exact position. 3.) The brass nuts holding the plate are hex. so they don't pop…

Great OEM replacement for 2008 BMW 335i Convertible (E93)

Arrived quickly and only cost ten dollars, quality screws included. The BMW OEM replacement was nearly $50 excluding shipping and didn't include any screws. However, I am very picky about ONLY using BMW parts, but the difference in price and the insignificance of the part itself made me choose this option. I'm glad I did. It doesn't have the four rubber bumpers that the OEM does, but it's well made and really isn't needed. You swap the bumpers for the cost and the included screws/washers/tools.
