This was the only holder I looked at that either covered the edges of the panel or had a picture showing it. It seems to protect the paint of the car well. I don't know how long it will last, but judging by the look and feel it should be quite a long time.

I received it last night and put it on straight away. It fits snugly onto the plate and even has drain holes on the bottom. All the holes line up perfectly and really give my plate a finished look. The main reason I got this was because my empty plate rattles against the trunk and I'm worried it might scratch the paintwork. Dispatched and delivered very quickly and it's darn good! It features a very thin bezel around the license plate and a silicone backing that eliminates rattling and scratches. It's easy to fold the edges around the license plate and then screw it back into place. Be sure to add a lip with small drainage holes at the bottom so water never collects when you wash your car.
