Easy installation and good performance. I hope they "survive". We used them in our RV. 2001 Brave Winnebago. The old ones are worn and some are missing and the lids would "fall" on you if you didn't hold them. This greatly facilitates access to storage areas.

Bought 16 and so far they are working fine. Installation on my 34ft Coach basement doors was easy. I see some people saying they won't open until a raise occurs. My doors are heavy and when they are halfway up they lift and stay where they should be. Only needed for smaller doors. Good product and great price. Over 30% discount on RV sites or shops.

Great Price. Works just like the Winnebago originals, but much cheaper. Update When I first ordered, the price was for a pack of two springs. I reordered, thinking it would be the same amount, but only received one nib. This is a good product but can be purchased from other sources at a much lower price. They cost $9.64 on RVupgrades.com.
