I opened and assembled my croquet set. Unfortunately, the black head of the hammer has not been machined, so the handle cannot be screwed into it. Maybe I'll glue it but I'm disappointed and I don't recommend this product. The handles will naturally come loose as you play, so I'll probably use glue as well.

The proprietary printed instructions show painted spots on the top of the handle, which is true. The item itself is mispainted, with traces of paint on the underside of the handle. This is my second and last attempt to order a correctly painted set from this company. I can't comment on the strength or durability as I haven't used this set.

#1. The item description states that it is a set for a game for 6 people. We received only 3 low quality plastic balls. #2 The product description stated that there is a bag to carry the set. There was no bag. #3. The box it was sent in was completely destroyed! Yes, so that the content can be seen from the side!

I had 13 family members who came to our house for a reunion for 5 days. We do the usual stuff like water fights, bad gloves and bags. But for a change I bought this set. Haven't played since I was a kid and even forgot how to play. When we released it it was a HUGE hit! Teams were formed, alliances formed and the competition lasted until dark and continued the next day! So glad I got it. :)

Bought this set 5 months ago. Have used it dozens of times with my kids. 4 of the 6 bullets have cracked and the clay substance inside has cracked and spills into a powder. In the second game we played, the first ball cracked. The hammers are in good condition but you will need to purchase a replacement ball set which is almost the same as the entire set. Don't buy this, buy a better set, you will have to pay almost twice as much as this set.

This set arrived just in time for our summer picnic. The size (handle length) is suitable for adults but not too big for a 5 year old child. The colors are excellent - bright elementals. The carving is good on the handles and heads. I expect them to last, although I can't tell if the colors will touch. The bag is big enough so you don't have to take apart your clubs to store them. Everything just fits.

Garbage. A hole larger than a stick was drilled into the red hammer. The blue hammer had holes filled with yellow wood spatula all over it, and they weren't even properly filled. Another hammer had the same filling of a crack in a thread which then would not thread. The painting appears to have been done by a six year old and the woodwork by a five year old. Shards abound. The balls were made of synthetic resin. Biggest waste of time I've seen in a long time. Don't waste your money on this ____

This croquet set is exactly as described in the product description. It arrived double boxed and beautifully packaged with all parts free from design or manufacturing defects. This set is comparable to those you can find in a sporting goods store for the same price - strong yet lightweight wood construction, metal gates that flex.
