Quadhub works for me

I am using 2 USB Type A ports on my MSI GF65 laptop to connect 2 additional USB portable monitors. A quadhub connected to one of the MSI GF65 Type-C ports gave me 2 additional USB Type-A ports and 2 USB Type-C ports. That works fine. The only improvement I would recommend is a longer cable for the Quadhub Type-C USB port. The 3.5 inch cable should be at least 8-10 inches long so as not to clutter up the space next to my laptop.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Best USB-C transfer rate

This is the best transfer rate of any drive I've tried. Backing up files from Western Digital external SSD to USB external hard drive is crazy. I get a transfer speed of 200 MB/s. I tried several USB-C hubs and only got a transfer speed of 35 MB/s. This is not a hub for connecting external monitors, nor is it advertised as such. I only use it to transfer large files between my drives at USB-C speeds.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Disabled and trashed My Time Machine backup

It looks like a well made device and great value for the ports it offers. And for the first 2.5 months it worked very well and delivered the advertised speeds. Then today I unlocked my computer and found that one of the two attached drives was disabled and the other was showing a Time Machine error when writing. The drive was still showing as connected but not accessible. Disk Utility got stuck trying to list my drives and nothing could bring them online, so I had to reboot. After a reboot, the

Ideal for Atem Mini Pro, Extreme and other Blackmagic switches

I was looking for a 2-port USB-C hub for my Atem Mini Switch. The search wasn't easy, but this hub works great. This allows me to connect two external SSD drives to the mixer, which increases recording time. Definitely fits my needs as others haven't specified the number of USB-C ports. Recommend to anyone who has breath. Good build quality too!

Doesn't work with Thunderbolt 3

I couldn't get this hub to work properly on my laptops. Thunderbolt 3 port The hub has a problem detecting the USB mouse receiver. The hub was also unable to see or recognize the USB 3.1 Gen 2 NVME SSD during boot. I ended up sending the hub back.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Not bad

Unit works well but cable is too short

Plugs directly into computer USB-C port, unit works fine. Everything goes wrong when you connect it via an extension cord, and that's not the fault of this docking station. I think the USB-C connector system doesn't adapt well to universal standards. There are special cables for all applications, but they are not clearly marked. Along with this device I ordered a Super Speed extension cable and a regular Super Speed cable with female to female adapters. Both are six feet long. Both have data…

Pros
  • Ideal for small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for elderly

The ONLY USB 3.2 hub I could find at AMZN!

I have a new laptop with all the bells and whistles. external hard drives to wireless dongles for mouse and wireless keyboard etc. Since my laptop comes with more powerful/faster USB 3.2 ports including both the standard Type A and the latest Type C, I was looking for something that would allow me to use the 3.2 standard with higher speed and still allow me to use BOTH types of ports. There are many hubs with regular 3.0 connectors, both Type A and Type C, but since I spent a lot of money on my
