Great OEM part option

Follow the break-in procedure and you're done. If you have a Honda Ridgeline that is over 10 years old, do yourself a favor and drill out the rotor mounting bolts. Good product with a slightly more aggressive initial bite.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Negative impression

Steering wheel vibrates heavily under hard braking

Easy installation; however, despite the fact that in the brake-following process, the steering trembled sharply under hard braking. I checked the brake hoses, the calipers (one was replaced), checked the pads that came with the discs. The symptoms persisted. Luckily I kept the old rotors so I replaced them again and the problem went away immediately. I still have to take them to the machine shop to spin them. If the return takes too long. Should have stopped at the OEM. The brand of brake padsโ€ฆ

Great combination for my Ridgeline

I have replaced these myself and had great results. My bearing pads have fallen about 10% and the rotors are showing their age. I could flip the rotors and reuse them, but I get great results with slotted rotors. Even under hard braking, I don't see the brake play that I've seen before (only under very heavy loads. Mind you). You need to make sure you use a torque wrench for proper installation (I used a Mountain 16250 1/2 inch torque wrench) and clean and re-grease the pins that the calipersโ€ฆ

Impressive brake product

Installing the front end on a 2007 Honda Ridgeline was basically the same as installing discs/pads, but there are a few things to note (included in the instructions): The rotors are directional and are marked. which side to go to next. After installation, there is an interruption in the process that involves several hard glitches. Somewhat in the range of 50-60mph on a hard rest up to 10mph x5 and 35-45mph up to 10. A warm up is followed by a five minute "slow" ride to allow the resin to coolโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Band

Great product for the price

I chose this pads and rotors combo package because it was reasonably priced and not much more expensive than other standard kits. My order came with pad guides for the caliper bracket so there is no need to purchase them separately (I just returned the pad guide kit I bought. Gotta love Revain :) This product did NOT come with pad springs but I did don't think they should have As I can't see them the holes in the top of the pads are pre-drilled. Installation on my 2006 Honda Ridgeline was easyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Some bugs
