Nice product good for carpenter's angle

Today I received the Kapro combination angle. The first thing I did was check the place. This item was dead in place right out of the box. It's also heavy and durable. To my knowledge the magnetic closure system is unique and works very well. I rarely write reviews but I am simply impressed. I'm glad I didn't spend over $100 on a Starrett. It's just as good.

Pros
  • practical item

Works out of the box for me

I tested it on the driver's seat and it's accurate. There was some paint on the mating surfaces, but I've moved the ruler back and forth about 30 times and it's completely rubbed off. It's quite a hassle to move the ruler, so hopefully over time it won't wear down the zinc case and become inaccurate. If so, I'll try to update my review.

  • Inspires confidence

So beautiful, I bought it twice

So beautiful, I bought it twice! It might not be the best or most accurate in the world, but it's square and easy to use. I'm sure someone gets one that's out of scope from time to time, but the two I have are very edgy. For the price of a Starrett, you can get five of these - one for each corner of your workshop and one for your workbench. ;-)

Pros
  • Hands-free mode
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

I'm not sure about this product.

Something is wrong with this product. Check the price for multiple items. The product I received has a company logo covering the set screw which is a cheap sticker. He fell in the first week. Exposes the set screw and shows a cheap cast around it about 1 inch square. There are no instructions for the set screw if it is no longer square. I would NOT buy again. I'm not sure if this item is better than any other on the market.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Bad experience

I still give 5 stars.

I wanted to peel off some paint to even out this square but when I did the test it turned out to be absolutely flat to my surprise. I like the magnet idea because I don't have to worry about internal wear and tear with this tool. It's heavy and feels very well made. Excellent value for money and quality. The advert says there is a case that attaches to the belt, but I didn't have one. I don't really care because I'll probably hang it up anyway, but they should include the holder as they say…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

A great idea. It just needs to be very easy to set up to be perfect.

Several reviewers have mentioned that this "square" is not a square. DYE. When they put red paint on it, it looks like it's sprayed on the important part of the "handle," right where the rule is. Also, the pain was only on one side and not the other. This resulted in a very slight squareness imperfection. I took a utility knife and scraped off a blob of paint where the ruler rests on the stylus and double checked for squareness. Now she is perfect. It's a great design and I find it very easy to

I was willing to take off some paint to line up this square, but to my surprise when I ran the test it was perfectly square. I like the magnet idea because I don't have to worry about internal wear and tear with this tool. It's heavy and feels very well made. Excellent value for money and quality. Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • A few small things

I was very surprised that it didn't come out of the box. I first drew the flip lines on the board and it looked really good, then I compared it to my woodpecker test square and it turned out to be accurate. I moved the ruler up/down, took it out and turned it over, still dead. The magnets hold very well, no unintentional movements. I bought the 12" and it's a winner, only the next one might get the 6". The company is based outside of Israel, but the device is made in China, no problem as the…

Pretty neat square (with a few flaws)

I like the concept of the magnetic holder, but not without flaws. It's very easy to set up and feels boxy. My complaint is that when I draw a line (i.e. slide across it while holding the pencil by the edge) I've found that it slips a bit due to pencil pressure, causing my line to become skewed. Another complaint along the same lines; When using it to check the squareness of a blade like a table saw, I like to adjust the square from the miter slot to the stop and run the square along the edge of
