Beautiful and sooo easy

This product made installing the patio railing to the posts very easy. I had to attach 14 railings to posts on my deck and they look like they were finished by a professional crew. One of the best purchases I've made. I would recommend this product to anyone building a patio.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • boring packaging

Highly recommended! - Decking and Railing

Oh My God! Have they ever made it easier for us to install deck rails? No toenails! We live in the US and they go with all of our wood. We were careful not to over tighten the screws and there were no issues with breakage at all. There were no problems with the supplied screws. This made our deck railings really easy to install.

Pros
  • Free for Educational Purposes
Cons
  • Compatibility

Don't waste your money - plastic

I thought these were the same things Lowes sells but they are plastic. The screws go through the plastic. As a result, I had to throw some of them away. I don't feel safe and you can't pull the railing tight against the post because the screw heads can't take the load. I want my money back.

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Cheap and rips

The first few of these broke even with careful turning of the screws. Any end of the bolt will fit, they are too tight for US 2x wood. I really wanted to like them for a clean railing mounting solution, but they're just cheap plastic and won't fit double size rails.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Has been damaged

They work for what I used them for.

They are plastic and not as strong but do the job I used them for. I mainly used them to hold the railing in place while installing the aluminum balisters between them. It would be difficult to hold the 2x4 headrail while installing the balisters. They held the top of the 2x4 in place and I was able to tap the railing up or down just enough to get the balisters in between the railing. I then nailed the deck screws to the outside of the 2x4 railing and countersunk the screws below the surface…

Poor quality material

Great concept but choose better quality if you want an attractive, durable track. Tried to use 3 sets of this brand. Two of them had the screw heads going through the plastic, and more than half of the packaging had holes larger than the screw heads. I found the Mylar brand to be a bit more expensive but much better in materials, quality and finish. This gave me a professional looking splint that is extremely durable. I'm a 71 year old great grandma who just finished building my 28'X40' deck…

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Negative impression

Significant Savings - Railing

Overall you can't beat the price considering you are saving about half your money compared to what you would spend at a low or home depot store. Pros: Much cheaper than the big department stores. You have a good mount with 6 screws per mount. Cons: They're significantly less durable and thinner than what you'll find in most stores. They don't cover the entire end of the 2x4 lumber. For me the cost was worth the lack of power, my bar is just over 4ft apart and my top rail is attached to the top…

Pros
  • Durable Finish
Cons
  • Nothing Here

Valid Railing Brackets

I used these in a railing system where the balusters were 3/4 inch aluminum tubing. Before installing the brackets, I covered the ends of the rails with sealant. I mounted the brackets upside down. down" so the brackets protect the end of the rail. These handrail brackets were 1/8" thick while others I bought were 1/4" thick. I didn't know that when I bought them. Time will tell if that will be an issue. The screws were a bit lighter and a bit shorter than those with 1/4" mounts, but they seem…
