The wheel takes up too much space in the cage. It's pretty easy to assemble. It's very wobbly and there's no way to secure it with a patch on the roof. Big problem to take apart for cleaning. However, my pet mouse loves the extra tubes and play areas. He uses them all the time. The price was great for this set. When I received it I realized that when I put it together like the picture the bike was totally out of reach and Raffles really loves his bike. Luckily they can be assembled however you like and I created a different configuration which got the approval of Raffles and her little pal Jumi a few days later. I like the fact that I can take apart the donut tube for easy cleaning because that's where these two mice placed their nest. Now Raffles alternates between his old squeaky wheel and this one.

Two things: I'm concerned that the O-rings that connect the various tubes won't hold up to many configuration changes. I'm afraid this whole system is garbage. Manufacturing tolerances or design, I'm not sure what, but the end result is poorly made. Things don't connect securely, especially the top of the outbuilding. I had to modify ours with heavy duty rubber bands to keep them closed. The wheel is also unbalanced, with lots of slits for poop and pee to fall onto anything below your cage.
