Happy with product and delivery

It arrived on time but I have to admit I felt stupid paying so much for something so simple I could make my own out of cardboard. However, I find it very handy to keep in a small tool box, which is the one I use the most, and when I'm working on multiple sewing machines, it's handy to jump from one to the next and make sure you're using the same stitch number no matter what, which one machine or which leg you use. This makes it easy to adjust seam allowances, so I recommend this if you needโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive

My quilts have never been perfect. Now her!

My ยผ inch seams were perfect, but my finished pieces were not. My new Janome 1/4" foot let me down. I didn't even realize it until I started stamp quilting. I was losing nearly ยฝ inch every 10 squares. That's a lot! Recommended by Harriet Hargrave, I bought this seam guide to try and get perfect ยผ" SCANT seams. It works great! And it's that simple... Just insert the needle into the hole and place some sort of permanent guide on the edge of the plastic suture guide. I also bought QTools Sewingโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Dear

This PERFECT PIECING SEAM GUIDE is not what I expected. I was expecting it to be something that would stick (essentially forever) to the sewing machine to aid in a perfect 1/4 inch seam. However, it is not sticky. It's probably 1/8" thick and fairly stiff. It has a scribed line at the calibrated 1/4" mark, as well as a hole large enough for a machine needle to fit through and locate at the 1/4" -Line cuts. I read the instructions and used them as directed and found that 1/4" ran right over theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure
