This cork opener is good looking and has a large lever so the cork can be pulled out easily. The built-in foil cutter can be an accident - it's better to have your own foil cutter.

I keep forgetting to rate this corkscrew because it works SO wonderfully, after a few seconds I'm drinking wine and forgetting. (How's that for approval?). Seriously, the feel of the hand, the grip, the beauty, the simplicity, the perfection of the opening - I'm a picky guy and this opener is by far the best I've touched! Buy now, you won't regret it!

This unit is very durable and works very well but I can't get the built in foil cutter to work. Not a big deal as I already have a foil cutter that works very quickly and well. The device itself is very well made. You just have to remember to let go of the handle when you pull the lever to remove the cork. The key to this style of wine bottle opener is whether or not it lasts, and it's better made than any other type I've owned over the years.

This device is pretty slick and works well. But it requires more "brawn" than some competitors. It's also larger (6" x 5") and heavier (1.25 pounds) than some competing models, so don't forget about storage.

Reviews were good but I returned two! At first I thought it was a lemon with a wobbly corkscrew causing it to go through the side of the cork rather than straight down the center. Sent back, replaced quickly. Same problem. I sent the second one back. Also the "built-in" foil cutter didn't work well the first time. I didn't try the second one because the corkscrew still didn't go straight in. Very disappointed! Nice view though!
