It turned out to be even easier than I thought. I swapped out the themes yesterday and so far it's working fine. It took me just under an hour to change both tires including jacking up my car which doesn't seem too necessary.

Works great! With this tool you can fix those broken TPMS valve stems without damaging the tire or even removing the tire from the car. Saves a lot of time buying a new sensor and reprogramming the ECM. Highly recommended. A++++

I was a little nervous drilling and tapping the valve stem to use them; but they worked great. Much better than busting a tire, installing a new sensor pack, then reinstalling the tire and then re-balancing it. Works as advertised. There are even videos on YouTube showing how to use this kit.

The auto shop I contacted just said I needed to replace the entire TPMS module because my valve stem was broken. The Firestone guy didn't even hear how to fix it. This kit used 1/4-20 threads tapped into a broken shank, leaving little leeway to not get the tap perfectly straight. The M6 thread was perhaps the best choice to keep a little more of the existing stem in. They also protrude longer than the original and can cause breakage problems when scraping the curb.
