I look forward to cutting coconuts with this tool. By the last hurricane (Isaiais) I had knocked over 40 coconuts which turned into 3 gallons of coconut water in 20 minutes.

Great product works like a charm. Very easy to use and durable compared to using a knife. I drink about 4-5 coconuts a week, the handle comes in very handy when trying to cut open a coconut. I definitely recommend this product to everyone.

Instead of a machete or a hammer I decided to buy this thing. It's almost a sin considering how easy it is to use. Beats old-school methods of cracking coconuts or using a drill. This is the pinnacle of laziness and the pinnacle of efficiency. My ancestors would be ashamed.

I couldn't get it to work. It's very sharp so it went in with no problem but I couldn't pull it out. I also broke the knife handle but I find ways to break everything. If you know how to use it, that's great. The straw was clearly excellent and of good quality.

This is a great invention - very durable and easy to use. Fresh coconut water is way better than what you get in bottles. Coconuts are very difficult to cut - perfect! * Six months later I add that it was wonderful to pick fresh coconuts. Great for getting rid of the need for packaging and canning!

I live in a Caribbean country. Coconuts grow in my backyard but I have never been able to open them until now due to my not very good machete skills. Thank you Ken, whoever you are. Now I can join the ranks of the coconut-slurping islanders with this nifty tool. Hell, it even works with a 4 finger hand (it was a machete, a coconut, it didn't work but I digress)

This tool wasn't good for piercing the tough green outer shell of young coconuts (would have taken too much force, maybe I didn't have) but this is very useful to get a softer white cork on the inside after cutting the green outer sleeve. Because of the tool's angle and ease of rotation, it works better than a cork remover knife. I use a strong serrated knife to snip off the outer green husk on top of a young coconut and then use this tool to pry out the plug to get at the coconut water.

Makes drinking from a coconut much easier and safer than trying to open it with other methods like a machete. It takes a minute to get used to, but once you've done it, it's easy. Slicing a coconut is easy, but snipping off the top with this tool isn't the best option. Once you open the coconut and put a straw in it, you can't put the coconut in at all as it is not well balanced. So you have to keep the coconut all the time or be very careful when you place it. Although overall it works well.
