Used this pop-up drain to replace the cheap plastic drain that came with the faucet. Had to go with a pop-up style drain because there was not enough clearance behind faucet for the typical pull-stem. Was impressed with the all-metal construction. Seems to be very well-made. This drain looks beautiful. Feels really sturdy. The gaskets I received are pure junk. I tightened it down just enough and it was still leaking. I kept tightening down little by little and it would still leak through even after it was way too tight. In my experience, I had to use plumber's putty which is not really a big deal I was okay with that. What was a problem is the pop up drain won't seal when you push the tab down, it only slows down the water to a crawl. I don't really care about that

I bought two of these to replace two old sink pop ups. Installation was easy. However, the quality of the easy pop-up click clack plug bolt component on one of them was flawed and loose, the looseness could not be fixed by tightening the screw or the bolt itself and led to marked wobble of the stopper compared to the other unit. These are excellent quality items in both material and finishes, and the price is great. more brass used than before - top threads into the original design and the pop up works much better and will hopefully be more reliable

Like others have said, the washers it comes with do not seal. You need to use plumbers putty or caulk to seal the threads and washer. Also, it os a lot bigger around that it looks in the pics. Kind of looks awkward in the sink since it is so large. Works fine so far after fixing with plumbers putty

I'm giving the product three stars because I like the look of it quite a bit. So I ordered it, installed it, and found that the pop up, when depressed, didn't hold back the water as intended. I thought maybe it was a fluke and I got one with a bad seal. I re-ordered and the second one did the exact same thing, leaked when depressed.and not a slow leak, I mean it was leaking. My only complaint is that the silicone gasket is too thick and lets a little bit of water to puddle in the sink. Other than that, it works fine.

This drain was so easy to install and the quality is very good. It is much better than what the big box stores carry and sells for Half the price. I was trying to re-use the plastic one that originally came with our upscale faucet but it wouldn’t fully seal tight. No such issue with this drain. Had it in in less than 15 minutes and 5 of that was taking the old one out!

Worked great for me. Only issue is that it’s on the large size so it took some work to get it down into the hole. It’s slightly wider than standard.I can’t see how this can leaklike people say. The bottom of the sink has no sitting water and no pressure, unless your sewage is all backed up there shouldn’t ever be water sitting against the lower seal.As with any drain you have to use plumbers putty around the top flange. Kept water in it for an hour and the level stayed the same.

The instructions mention 'do not use putty or silicone' but the washers/gaskets provided would not stop leaking. The unit is solid material and the cap/drain stopper works well. I used plumbers putty to stop the leak. Only 4 stars because of leaking gaskets/washers.
