Easy option for rare soldering iron

I don't solder very much but when I have to I like the ease of use of this solder. The small diameter of the solder makes it easy to handle and this solder has good flowability. Combined with a decent iron this is a good product for occasional repairs. If you solder a lot you might be better off using a reel, but I still prefer to handle such a tube for precision work.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • unreliable

The only solder you should use

Think you're bad at soldering? Use this solder and come back to me. A good soldering iron is important for quality soldering, but solder is just as important. I will never use anything else again. This solder changes everything in the world. I work with guitar pedals, guitars and pedals, the connectors are really small and you can't heat the board for long. Don't bother with this stuff. It sticks together very quickly and very neatly and the seams look great. How can you go wrong with $3.20โ€ฆ

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Hard to say

Drink like a pro! - Soldering

I've never been particularly good at soldering, but I could do basic work like tinning wires and soldering components like capacitors, resistors, etc. But when I started soldering again, I was stunned. how poor I was despite having a decent temperature controlled iron. I literally had trouble tinning a piece of wire. Every job I took was a lesson in frustration. I've tried everything I can think of, increasing the temperature of the iron, using flux, etc., but I couldn't get the solder to flowโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Consistent results when testing
Cons
  • No performance

Really got me rethinking the importance of high quality solder.

As an amateur who usually uses what's available or what's cheapest, I was skeptical of spending so much money for so little solder; However, I have to admit that I was very surprised at how much of a difference this particular solder makes. Retaining less solder than a traditional spool, it provides a convenient way to incorporate solder into your project. I've found it particularly handy when soldering headers as it allows you to get nice and close to your project while maintaining completeโ€ฆ

Perfect (depending on your application.)

This little solder package is perfect. As long as you use it for its intended purpose. This product is really ideal for smaller jobs, typically electronic. It is a resin core solder (not an acid core solder) so using it for electrical or electronic projects is not a big problem. I mainly use it to connect electrical wires. or wires to contacts. One of the nice features of this product is the small diameter. It can be used for small jobs or soldering in tight spaces. There's also quite a bit ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • I don't have a lot of grudges about it, it's just good
