I was a little wary of switching from my old favorite (60/40 lead/tin) but after testing I liked 63/37 and its slightly lower melting point. I've started my first major build (two kits I recreated to work together) with over 500 surface mount components and I'm hoping all goes well.

This 0.015 inch diameter solder is suitable for delicate work such as soldering SMT parts. The flux is strong enough to make soldering easier, but the residue must be removed or the flux residue can simply be washed off with warm water leaving nothing but shiny solder joints.
