Mold and strange sediment after 4 days. Would give zero if I could

After thoroughly cleaning my Keurig and using one of these filters, mold grew within 4 days and a strange sediment appeared in the water. Please note we have had this Keurig for over 5 years and have never had mold/algae growing in it and we are 100% positive it is the filter. Would rate zero if I could. Don't waste money. I have bought many filters from other manufacturers on Amazon and this has never happened. This has never happened to the Keurig brand.

Looks and works like a Kourig product. To update!

It contains powdered charcoal like the brand name, is the same size and works (as far as I can tell) the same. The price is lower than the brand which makes it a bargain. I just used the first of the filters. When soaked before use, the water turned black. Repeated soaking[4] was required to prevent the charcoal from seeping into the water. I assume the charcoal removes any contaminants and taste/odor that may be in the water, but the material wrapped around the filter appears to be much more…

Makes my coffee taste better

With my first Keurig coffee maker, I never bothered with the filters that were offered. When I bought my second, larger maker, there was a filter holder in the water box, as well as a couple of filter packs in the box. I started using them and since then I've noticed a really better coffee taste. I use filtered water initially, but these filters really keep the water fresh and are easy to replace every few months. I recommend them if you haven't used them. My day starts with coffee (can't live…

Big Savings! Suitable for brewers old and new

I bought these as part of a pack when I bought the kcarafe reusable filter. They arrived in a box with 2 filters in each (6) reusable pouch. This ensures they stay fresh until the next month's pod change. When my previous Keurig almost caught fire, I decided to upgrade to 2.0. I was afraid that the filters are different, I bought them just in case. I'm still 23 old 😒. Luckily, Keurig kept the same filter units, just replacing the filter holder in the 2.0 versions. (Every two-digit Keurig (K50…

Must be used on these machines.

A neighbor gave me her Kereg which stopped working. He made a loud noise and no water came out. Cleaned with vinegar and x20, still nothing. Then I noticed that the filter is not installed and there is some slime where it goes. I went downstairs with a bottle brush to remove hardened mucus. I ran V and h20 and it worked. No loud noise! She said she doesn't use filters because she can taste charcoal. (Had she run the water through the filter "before" installing it, she probably wouldn't have…

They lick coal in water

I bought these for my Keurig coffee maker. When I received them, I first soaked them in water like Keurig filters normally do. To my surprise, I saw the oozing coal turning the water black. I tried soaking the same filter in water, the water turned black again. Then I tried the second filter, I thought maybe the first one was bad. The water turned black again. I do not recommend buying these filters. I used the third filter to take the attached photos. The image of a cup with a filter colored…

I hope this doesn't kill me.

As other reviewers have said, there is no indication anywhere on the website that they are made in China. You may recall that these are the people who make dog food, which on the plus side reduces the dog's appetite and therefore the cost of feeding your pet. On the other hand, he does this by killing an animal. It didn't have the charcoal residue issues that others have cited. It's possible that the actual filter material surrounding the activated carbon has changed, as it's definitely…
