1999 Honda Accord, worked with some problems

I programmed according to the instructions. I was only able to get two remotes to work in one programming event. I've confirmed three to work, but couldn't get it to work for three. 1999 Honda Accord. After programming, I pressed the trunk button, and after long and repeated presses, it worked. The second remote button worked, but only when pressed repeatedly and for a long time. The trunk button function of these remote controls is unreliable. I also tried another type of remote control and it

It works great, but you have to read the programming guide.

1999 Accord V6. It works great, but you should read the programming guide very carefully before you start. And you have to be quick. If you're like me and screwed up, this can be an endless moment while you open the hood and disconnect the battery to disable the alarm. Consider turning off the beep if you're not sure. Important point: I lost one of my keychains and bought this one. After it came out, I found the original. "Cool, I'll take three," I thought. No, Honda can only program two at aโ€ฆ

Supplier Information Compatibility and Accuracy

Transmitter Identification The transmitter for the 1998-99 Accord and 2000-02 Accord looks the same but is not interchangeable. The 1998-99 transmitter will work with a 2000-02 Accord door but will not open the trunk. IF unsure which transmitter you have, press and hold the truck unlock button while looking at the LED. The LED on the 1998-99 transmitter lights up after about 1.1 seconds. The LED on the transmitter 2000-02 lights up after approx. 0.05 seconds. My keyless entry was adjusted byโ€ฆ

Works well - just follow the instructions EXACTLY.

I bought this when one of my transmitters broke for my 2002 Honda Accord EX-L. You just need to follow the instructions in the programmer's letter to work. You must program both the new transmitter and all existing transmitters at the same time. Once you enter programming mode (you will hear the locks clicking), you will need to press the lock button ONCE more on that remote, and then ONCE for each other remote. program. Then turn the ignition off and REMOVE the key before testing. I triedโ€ฆ

Great little remote control!

So we don't lie. I had a lot of problems with this thing initially, but it was user error. I've tried many times and even tried changing the battery but to no avail and my locks just shot like they were locked. It turns out that's what he's supposed to do. What I didn't realize was that after the initial lock tone, I had to press the 'close' button again to actually program the remote into the machine. Oops. (Maybe this will help anyone who made the same mistake I did!) Once I figured it outโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • There are flaws

You say switch the key to position II (dashboard light on and beep). The trick is that when they say "off" they mean position I (meaning 1 click after inserting the key into the lock). This unlocks the steering column but the light doesn't come on) You shift from position II to position I (not full) and back to position II. For my 1999 Accord these are the steps (your may be different!): Climb into the car and close all the doors. Repeat the following steps ABC THREE times (use the same remoteโ€ฆ
