Great remote works after reprogramming new module to use with old key

Works absolutely perfect for my 2012 Fit. Although I didn't have a key cut I simply replaced the remote module with my old non-working module and reprogrammed my car to accept the new immobilizer chip and lock/unlock module and it all worked great! If you don't have a way to program the chip for your car's system, any shop that has a decent scanner can do it. Or have a locksmith do it for you.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • security

Obviously a locksmith cannot cut this Honda key

. I bought this to replace my 2012 Honda Fit key which fell apart (horrible design btw). I was under the impression that this key could be taken to a locksmith to have it cut and programmed. Obviously not. I took it to a local locksmith and asked if they would cut and program car keys. The guy replied that they couldn't cut Honda keys because they were cut in a special way that only a dealer could do. He said that only a Honda dealer could make a new key and that it was very expensive. Big.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Works great!: Keyless entry systems

This has worked wonders for me! I had a car without keyless entry for almost two years. I originally purchased this product to be able to keyless my car and have a spare key as I only had one. However, I only liked the 'removed' part and didn't cut the key anywhere! Ridiculous, I know, but it was very easy to program. I just watched a YouTube video of my 2010 Honda Fit and in less than a few minutes this product was programmed to lock, unlock and alarm my car. Will definitely buy this again if…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Works well - used as door lock remote on 2009 Honda Fit

Used on my 2009 FIT. Works great as a remote control for door locks. I didn't use a metal key and therefore I didn't have the key machined and the dealer didn't have a program for the car to use the key just had to program the door remote control function (easy to do yourself The metal part of the key is easy to machine with a Hacksaw (metal soft) cut and then the plug is smoothly machined into the plastic (it is best to disassemble the block first).

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Zero

2009 honda crv key fob programming

I decided to get an extra key fob to open my car door when I locked myself in our local mall again. I seem to do this once a year. The problem with the extra key for my 2009 Honda CRV is the reasonable cost of the key/fob and cutting/programming the unit at the Honda dealer. But all I want is to open the door in case of another lock. Programming it to open the car door was easy enough and my grandson did it for me. There are some tips on YouTube that are very helpful. My total cost: less than…
