A bummer of a step stool, I'd like it better

There were several issues with this stool that annoyed me: 1. Very difficult to assemble. When I finally got it almost together, one of the pieces slipped out and I was stuck with no way of gluing it. As a result, due to the complexity of the assembly, everything collapsed. This was after about two weeks of use with one part missing.2. Slippery/dangerous; had to buy anti slip tape to add to keep my daughter from slipping out of her socks3. The stool does not stand straight when you put it by…

Not the same quality as the previous version. Too bad.

I bought a version of this step stool over five years ago and it was perfect in function and quality. My youngest decided to use it for his large boys bed so I ordered another one for the bathroom sink. Very disappointed with the dramatic difference in quality! The new stool, lighter and made in China, is also much lighter and obviously made of plywood. The one I bought many years ago is made in Taiwan and is made of solid and beautiful wood. The hardware also has a significant slump. The two…

Leg for your little one

I bought this leg for my very active 1 year old to help him get to the sink and faucet when washing his hands and brushing his teeth. We also use it in the kitchen so it can "help" with cooking. This gave him some independence and it's great that he can work independently on his new skills. He climbs really well but he can't go down by himself so we have to keep a very close eye on him and stand by him if he decides to dismount. A few words about quality: the laminate here is very slippery, so…

Chipboard stool with some quality control issues

I bought two stools for my twin daughters to help us bake. The stools came together easily enough, but there seem to be some quality control issues. Both stools had issues with holes not fully drilled (different parts). The second chair's wooden dowel was not fully drilled out and the screws had completely sheared off. I had to disassemble the chair and loosen the remaining screw with pliers. I didn't want to get the drill out, so I used a dam kit to trim the screws and dowels that were too…

Good height, stability etc.

Good product, good design. First we bought a smaller plastic stage. I was very happy with it but it was too low and my son couldn't get up high enough to reach the sink. He just wasn't old enough. So I went in search of something higher that would give him a chance to get to the sink. It was the best I've found. Fairly easy to assemble (maybe 15 minutes - 10 screws). Very durable and surprisingly heavy. My son is 2 and usually needs help to move him. At least for now. There's a "con" - if…
