We love these wetsuits

We love these wetsuits! They work very well and my kids seem comfortable in them. However, I measured my kids as they suggested and bought a size 2 for my very skinny 5 year old (wears 4t and is about 31lbs, 40" tall). It was perfect except the sleeves we're WAY too tight. I tried this on my 3 y.o. who is the same weight but a bit shorter and we couldn't even get it past her elbows. We ordered a size 4 and it fits better in the arms, but a bit baggy on my tiny guy.

Pros
  • The shorty design allows your child to move freely, making it perfect for surfing, swimming, or other water sports
Cons
  • The wetsuit may not provide enough protection against scratches or cuts

We've tried several brands of wetsuits and this is our favorite. Here's why:- It has the thick 2mm on the torso but also on arms and legs. (Note some brands like Speedo aren't as warm because they use a thinner rash guard material on arms and legs)- Fit is exceptional- Best for average weight or thin children. If your child is on the chunky side, I suggest the NeoSpor

Pros
  • QUALITY FABRIC: Great style and function. Soft on the skin, the durable 4-way stretch neoprene is lightweight. An easy to reach back zipper pull allows kids to enter and exit the suit easily
Cons
  • The 4-way stretch neoprene may not be strong enough to hold up against wear and tear

Excellent thermal suit for kids! My girls love these suits and are excited to get into them when we plunge into chilly waters. Excellent wearability and functionality.

Pros
  • Full Suits
Cons
  • The wetsuit may not fit properly for some kids, leading to discomfort

Better focused swim classes.

We purchased this suit because my son started swim class and would get out shivering after every class. We thought this would help and boy did it do the trick. He wore it for his last class and the instructor commented afterwards that the suit must have really helped him because he was able to focus and do more things in the water than before. The material is not too thin and not too thick. My son is very lean and this suit was a little bit loose in some places but not too loose to be…

Pros
  • The wetsuit is easy to care for and can be quickly rinsed off and hung up to dry after use
Cons
  • The wetsuit may not be suitable for kids with certain skin conditions, such as eczema

Helps for toddlers swimming in the winter

My toddlers have swim class/lessons in the winter (outdoors) and thus these are a must. It does help, although it's super hard to take off after they've gotten wet. The dilemma is also it needs to be snug and tight for it to work best, but then the more snug/tight it is, the more difficult it is to take off after swimming it in. Nevertheless, they work great and they are not like the others that have the sleeves as just the thin neoprene stuff. Seems to be of good quality, i did purchase a few…

Pros
  • With its vibrant colors and bold design, the Kid's Shorty Wetsuit is sure to make your child stand out at the beach or pool
Cons
  • The wetsuit may not be suitable for kids with mobility issues

This is good quality, thick and beautiful

I have failed bought so many thermal swimming suit on amazon until this one. This is good quality, thick and beautiful. The only reason I didn't give it 5 star is that it is very hard to turn off after swimming. My 5 years old boy is very slim and fits in size 4 with a little more space to grow. My 6.5 years girl fits in size 6 with a little more space too. I will recommend it if you don't mind you have to help the kid turn it off.

Pros
  • The Kid's Shorty Wetsuit is available in a range of sizes, ensuring that you can find the perfect fit for your child
Cons
  • The wetsuit may not be suitable for kids with allergies to neoprene

Well made but neoprene is not very stretchy

I wish the neoprene was a little softer and stretchier. The wetsuit fits well for a very short period of time. Once the kid grows into it it takes too little time when it is too tight. The neoprene just won't stretch.

Cons
  • The wetsuit may not be durable enough for frequent use

Cute and efficient for my opinion

I ordered this wetsuit after reading the reviews. My daughters love it! My only complaint is that I went off the sizing and ordered a size 4 according to weight and height. My daughter is 7 years a little over the half way point at 47lbs and 4'1' for the size 4, which technically fits, but it is skin tight with no room to grow at all- it left marks around her arms and she is very petite for her age. I put this on my 5 year old who is more at the bottom of the size 4 range 42 lbs and 3'9'- it…

Pros
  • The Hyperflex Access 2mm Back-Zip Springsuit is a great investment for parents who plan to spend a lot of time at the beach or pool with their children
Cons
  • The wetsuit may not be suitable for kids with certain medical devices, such as catheters or ostomies
