There are several shortcomings, but, it corresponds to the norm.

The flash drive is very mediocre, and it loses the comparison with old Kingston products. The speed is especially annoying. But 16 GB for the money is a definite plus, and quite reliable. I won’t say that I have a lot of experience, but, judging by my observations, the most reliable and trouble-free flash drives are 1-2 GB (one such has been living since 2022), and trash already starts with 8 GB. Well, or you need to take more, but for myself I don’t see the point.

Pros
  • + 16 GB + Works for quite a long time (I don’t remember exactly, maybe three years) + Good looks but nothing special
Cons
  • - Very slow speed. I thought that this was due to the lack of a USB 3 port on the old PC, but I assembled a new one, but the problem remained. - A tight cap, in the end I came to the conclusion that it is optimal not to close it at all - heated - Sometimes not defined

I'm satisfied with it, there are only some small flaws.

Can't say how reliable it is - it hasn't been too long since I started using it. According to its characteristics, it has all the pluses and minuses inherent in ordinary flash drives of this class. Therefore, to find fault with something is simply stupid. While it works. Performs the functions assigned to it honestly and in good faith. What will happen next - we'll see.

Pros
  • Case - perfect for installation in very narrow places (TV, closely spaced ports on the system unit, etc.), does not interfere with other devices. Case material - metal. You can consider it both an advantage and a disadvantage. Dignity - because, firstly, it is strong - you will not break it in case of an accidental fall, and secondly, since the metal, the electronics are protected from pickups and various interferences.
Cons
  • Since the body is solid metal, in the event of a breakdown, it will be very difficult to disassemble the USB flash drive without damaging the electronics. To avoid trouble, I strongly do not recommend keeping valuable data on such flash drives.

Nothing special, there are positives and negatives.

Read speed around 22 Mb/s, write speed, average 5.5 Mb/s, sometimes jumps up to 8 Mb/s and drops to 2.5 Mb/s, when recording a movie 2.6 GB, there are much worse flash drives , but when USB 3.0 is already sold in full, this is an unreasonable purchase for 300, its maximum price is no more than 200, for the 16 GB version. What it is suitable for is for storing various programs, drivers on it, so that everything you need is always at hand, but again, although its reading speed is not bad for USB…

Pros
  • - In operation for 5 years - Metal, monolithic - Does not get very hot, slightly warm - Compact size, connects to any equipment without question, where large flash drives will not fit - For a USB 2.0 flash drive, good reading speed, stable 21.5 Mb / s,
Cons
  • - There are pronounced abrasions - The write speed spoils all the advantages of this flash drive, it is not suitable for films of large volumes

Good product, not disappointed.

In general, a flash drive is perfect for work, there are different files to throw off small ones . But it is not suitable for large files, well, unless you are in a hurry. Well, in general, I don’t regret that I took it, as a working flash drive 5 points out of 5 and value for money) also in metal version Pros below: Price, cheap flash drive Metal, easy to hang on a keychain The brand, Kingston, has long established itself. Design Not heated Reliability Cons: USB 2.0 The write speed up to 2gb…

I use flash drives only as bootable media (starting Windows, standard Windows system image, Acronis boot disk), so I don’t know about the resource. As a flash drive I use a smartphone in which there is a MicroSD 128 GB. I attached signed multi-colored key tags to my bootable flash drives - very neat, convenient and you always know what is on which flash drive. The price in different stores is very different, I strongly recommend using the market with sorting stores by price.

Pros
  • Low price, compact case that never clings to nearby cables / USB devices, the flash drive itself is durable, the flash drive always works without problems as a bootable USB flash drive (which cannot be said about free promotional flash drives)
Cons
  • Low speed, but with my tasks it is not critical for me, and considering such a price, I do not reduce the rating.

Not at all what I expected.Terrible!

As soon as these flash drives appeared, I immediately took one, I liked it most of all because it fits into any USB port and does not catch neighboring USB devices or wires with the case. I had several of these flash drives, and most of all I was finished off by the buggy definition of a flash drive, when I inserted it into the usb port, it is normally detected and works, then nothing at all, an unknown device is detected or it works at usb 1.0 speed and for it to work normally it was…

Pros
  • What concerns the body and appearance is done as simply, reliably and miniaturely as possible.
Cons
  • in the comment

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Lame product and terrible quality.

A monolithic flash drive, the insides of which are tightly sealed, so if something happens to it, and the firmware does not help, you can safely throw it away, because of course it can be disassembled, but inside it is filled with some kind of plastic and there is no way to overload it. I highly do not recommend anyone to buy it and in general any monolithic flash drives.

Pros
  • Nothing
Cons
  • It broke for 2 times of use, and the glitch was specific - the data just started to pour in. During the check, none of the checksums of any file matched. In total, he took it to where he bought it, they sent it for repair (for 70 days it hung somewhere, as the sellers claimed, the SC sent it straight to the Kingston officials). In response, it came that the defect was not confirmed . Just not words .

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

An ideal option for a system administrator, or for someone who is constantly forced to carry programs, distributions, and just the information he needs, which he once threw onto a USB flash drive, and then only occasionally add the necessary. Has pros: Small. Iron. Looks stylish. Pretty nimble. What you need to always have with you, dangling on the keys, like a keychain. Cons below: Haven't found it yet. Unless there is an indicator of work, but this is so nit-picking.

Revainrating 3 out of 5

In general, everything is not bad, but I expected more.

In fact, it's more of a cute keychain with a data storage function. Convenient because it is always at hand. But for frequent transfer of large amounts of data, a flash drive is unsuitable because of catastrophically low speeds: for example, recording starts briskly as early as 120Mb / s, and after a maximum of a minute it slides down to 2-6Mb / s. Some kind of BD-Remux, for example, to fill in is a sheer "pleasure". At the same time, it also gets very hot, which, in combination with the metal…

Pros
  • Miniature size, stylish design, one-piece body
Cons
  • Low speed, high heat

Good quality product, the price is commensurate with the quality.

I looked at the reviews and decided to take from the presence of different flash drives. First impressions are very pleasant. And there time will tell. For 1170. I'll be fine if it lasts at least two years without problems. 2022-03-15. I have been using it for several years now, I carry it with me - it works without problems. Got pros: Good design, fully satisfying my needs for speed. I just brought it from the store and tested it on 720 MB mixed with large and very small files: writing at…

Normal quality, you can use it.

Flash drives are formatted in fat 32, and tested in USB ports 3.0 and 2.0. In fact, a real recording on a heated flash drive goes from 1.5-5 mb. / sec. I tried to check the speed of flash drives with the common program CrystalDiskMark6. That's what a strange result on two identical flash drives got out. Can anyone explain the screenshot of the result of the recording? Is this a glitch? Even older flash drives give much better results! For example, here is a screenshot of an old SanDisk Cruzer…

Pros
  • Beautiful and structurally strong sticks. I took them specifically to create bootable flash drives, for compatibility with old motherboards. In this regard, expectations were fully justified. There have been no problems so far. They are seen by bios as fairly old motherboards.
Cons
  • Slow. Warming up. Not recommended for those who frequently ate the contents of the flash drive. Some write speed oddities, see comment.

I like it, thanks for the quality product.

Flash is 2 years old. Normally works. I use it mainly for music, upload movies, upload photos, documents in Word or Excel. Movies in 3D shakes for a long time, I agree. Music in good quality does not download quickly, it's the same. I ran in three computers, on a TV, and radio tape recorders. Everywhere it is determined, it climbs everywhere and, in principle, it works fine. 4 set only because of the download speed of a quality product. And so everything suits.

Pros
  • Small, handy, metal case.
Cons
  • Everything suits me. There are minor flaws, but not critical.

Second-rate goods, I wont buy any more.

Don't buy this crap. There were 2 pcs. 8 GB Periodically, when trying to write several GB, "write protection" was turned on, after which any attempt to write information was blocked with the message "remove write protection". It was treated with the psion utility. He treated this as a necessary evil and did not store valuable information on flash drives. Now one is not detected at all, and the second psion does not help. Both are in the trash.

Pros
  • compactness
Cons
  • Marriage

I'm amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

There is no more practical and visual way to test flash drives than CrystalDiskMark 2.2: . Kingston DataTraveler SE9 - "8GB" - FAT32 - Sequential Read : ~ 21 MB/s Sequential Write : ~ 13 MB/s Random Read 512KB : ~ 21 MB/s Random Write 512KB : ~ 7 MB/s Random Read 4KB : ~ 2 MB/s Random Write 4KB : ~ 0.7 MB/s . Kingston DataTraveler SE9 - "16GB" - FAT32 - Sequential Read : ~ 21.2 MB/s Sequential Write : ~ 11.9 MB/s Random Read 512KB : ~ 21 MB/s Random Write 512KB : ~ 4.3-6.4 MB/s

Pros
  • Dimensions 39x12.2x4.5 mm. Conveniently positioned D8.5 hole for holding and attaching a flash drive in multiple ways. All-metal (non-magnetic) housing with a minimum wall thickness of 0.35 mm and a practical matt finish. Five year warranty. Good speed performance.
Cons
  • Leak proof construction. Water resistance is not guaranteed, declared or guaranteed. Scanty real volumes: 7.31 GB instead of the declared eight, 14.5 - instead of sixteen and 28.8 - instead of thirty-two. Pretty sharp edges on the end from the side of the connector, you will have to carefully finely grind the chamfer so that it does not tear pockets and scratch the body.

The product is okay, it's not a waste of money!

Bought today. When copying 13 gigs of movies, the speed is 3.5 MB / s. That is, it is really the second slowest. The leader is the ancient Silicon Power. There is something to compare, since there are many other flash drives. Yes, and do not try to measure the speed with tests - complete nonsense. By changing the formatting options in the popular Crystal Disk Mark program, you can get results in write speeds that differ significantly. Make it easier - copy the file from the stopwatches in your…

Pros
  • The inimitable appearance of this flash drive was already expected by the fact of having the title of the winner of 2022 Reddot Design. But the feeling of this little charming metal thing exceeded all expectations. She is gorgeous. It leaves no marks at all. She is incredibly small and cute. Ideal for applephiles as the look matches both Macbook and Air. In general, this is the first truly beautiful flash drive from Kingston.
Cons
  • Stunningly low write speed, which is not treated with any gadgets.

Return my money! Disgusting product and poor quality.

Bought for use between a laptop and a TV (for large video files). There was a review about the fact that the Samsung TV does not see it - I will say that my Samsung UE48H5203AKX works well with it. Computers with usb 3.0 detect it quickly, but when writing large files, it freezes at the last 3-1% up to a freeze. I checked it on several computers, formatted it in FAT32, extFAT, NTFS - the problem remains! Passed for examination, I hope they will return the money. - I will add that two of the…

Pros
  • The design is worthy of perfectionists from Apple, ideally in the color of the case of ASUS Zenbook ux31a!)
Cons
  • reliability

Satisfied with the product, I recommend it to everyone.

Its all-metal body is its advantage and disadvantage at the same time. Because of him, she did not fit into any USB on the front panel of the computer. The USB extension cable fit well. You probably need to sharpen it from the bottom so that it fits everywhere. Well, the connector is not protected from dust in any way, if you carry it in your pocket or bag, probably any dirt will clog in there. For this one star was taken off.

Pros
  • small, cheap, cute, metal
Cons
  • - nothing closes the USB connector - does not fit into some USB

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

I accidentally washed this flash drive in my jeans pocket. After 3 days, I thought that I had lost it, I was looking for it for a long time. I found it 7 days after washing, in the drum of the washing machine, I don’t know exactly how many more times and with what it was washed there. When I took it out, dried it with a hairdryer, cleaned the contacts from powder and oxidation, put it in the laptop, the flash drive works fine, all the data is in place, it loads and saves as new.

Pros
  • reliability, durability, does not rust
Cons
  • easy to lose

I am very happy with this purchase, I will advise everyone!

I have three of these 16 GB flash drives. I've been using one for a couple of years, I'm happy with everything. So I recently decided to buy two more. I checked them in Check Flash for 3.5 hours: there are no errors. The read and write speeds of both flash drives in the main and most intense part of the test are approximately the same and stable: 12.1-12.2 MB / s - reading and 2.9-3 MB / s - writing (see the screen at the end of the test). In HD Tune Pro, the average read speed of one of these…

Pros
  • Reliability both in the absence of hardware and software errors, and in the metal case without any protruding and retractable parts. The flash drive is narrow, easily inserted next to other flash drives on the case. The price is quite attractive. Well, aesthetically I like it, just nice to look at and touch.
Cons
  • The speed is low, of course, but I do not need high speed.

The perfect combination of form and function

I needed a USB stick on my keychain. I bought 6 different ones (some from Revain and some from Staples). This one is my favourite. The metal body feels strong yet lightweight. And it easily fits on any keychain. This is about 80% the size of a standard house key (see my photo I've added). In addition, it looks very good. Looks great on a keychain; looks great when connected to any computer. Hard drive read/write speeds are a little slow, but reasonable. I measured the transfer times for some…

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Doesn't work for everything
