Looks good but there is a serious problem

I bought two of these devices - 16GB and 32GB. Both looked great and put on a great performance. A first - about three months later - I went to use it and found that the memory chip had fallen out of the metal case. I had important data in it and it was gone forever (and some of it was private). I changed the settings on my PC for security reasons and restored my backup data to a different USB drive. Bought another one (32GB this time) and the same thing happened a few months later. This time I

Love it! to make them portable enough to be easily shared. Memory cards are currently the cheapest and easiest way I know to send my content to friends and colleagues. New age design with a decent loop that you can use to attach it to your key ring and/or desk fob. Functionally, USB 2.0 (standard speed) is good for most jobs and sufficient for playing videos (Quicktime (.m4p format) and any music). The write and read times for these drives are in a datasheet somewhere online, but to me it just…

ah mixed bag - not working on my work pc

I have 8 and 16gb versions with no problems. I received 2 packs of these 32GB because I love the keychain design. I took one to work where the encryption software activates automatically. I've never had any problem other than a significant slowdown in this process, but this thing just dies and gives up every time it encounters large files. It goes to zero baud rate and stays there until I reboot an hour later. At home, the 32GB version works, but the transfer speed is about 1/4 of my other…

Only worked for 2 weeks UPDATE

Received 10/18. It worked until 10/24. Then it stopped connecting to my Tesla Model3. Therefore, it does not record video from the DVR. I tried it with my iMac and MacAir. It reconnects periodically. So, this experience confirms many negative reviews about this product. I deliberately bought the cheaper usb2.0 instead of usb3.0 for quality reasons. Unfortunately the quality is really bad. I am reconfiguring this item. Changed to 3 stars. After playing around with the drive a little more, I…

Too bad I can't recommend it!

Overall a nice gadget. At first I was quite happy with it. It can store a lot of data. I'm a university professor and I travel a lot to give lectures, so a lot of powerpoint presentations fit in and I was able to take the manuscripts I'm working on with me. But one day at the airport, when I pulled out the keychain with the Data Traveler attached, the TSA officer noticed that something had fallen on the ground. Looking down, I found that the real memory card had detached from the metal case and

Kingston DTSE9 Flash Drive 16GB Not useful

I purchased three Kingston DTSE9 Flash Drives after reading the rave reviews of Revain. I have tried several times to copy short videos from my computer and also from the Kingston DataTraveler 104 to these flash drives. The result is always the same. The ripped video plays for a few minutes and then pauses for a few seconds, which is very frustrating and completely unsatisfying. I would return them but Revain's return policy says they cannot be returned. Extremely disappointed! June 6, 2020…

Traveler: My favorite flash memory

I buy USB flash drives as gifts for students, and the price is important, but so is the quality. Higher quality may cost a dollar or two more per stick, but it also gives a sense of our quality and the value we place on our students. In this case, I didn't have to compromise on price, although there was some demand for flash drive prices. I first bought these Kingston Data Travelers in 2012-2013 when they first went on sale and was impressed. on a metal body. Here it is 7 years later and this…

Great solid device. It's very reliable for me!

I have been using these USB drives for over 2 years now. I have 2 silver 16gb, 1 silver 8gb, 2 gold 16gb. Some are used daily/weekly, others for longer backups. Nobody has let me down. They drew me in because they are in a seamless metal body and look like they could take some abuse. I decided to leave this review after accidentally skimming over some of the 1 star reviews. I feel like people lose their logic and just look at the numbers, they don't count the percentage of GOOD reviews…
