I really love these pants for my son who just turned 6. He wears size 6 pants, but literally every other pair of pants he has is too big in the waist, but when we scale them down to a size 5, they are too short. They appear to be of good quality. I definitely wouldn't trust him with a dryer. I would recommend them. Just ordered a different color.
