This item is slightly heavier than expected. This is not a problem, but a small surprise. This can opener is so easy and dare I say fun? Put it on top of a glass, press the button and away you go. Press the button again to release it and voila! Did! i love this shop I am planning to buy a few as gifts for my loved ones. Especially for people with arthritis in their hands.

My wife has osteoarthritis and this gadget is a game changer for her. I also have a "difficult" right wrist that can get worse when using a manual can opener. We have used it to open jars of all sizes with ease. The only negative I can suggest is that the battery cover is slightly (maybe 0.5mm) misaligned and requires more force than I would like to open/close the cover. Hopefully that won't be a problem later after a few battery changes. At the moment we love it!

But I would have the same problem with my OXO and Kuhn-Rikon guide: if the jar label is too close to the rim of the lid, it will interfere with blade contact. Removed tag and it worked. I tried it on the first can, it took a few tries before I realized that it wasn't an automatic start, we had to keep the button pressed the entire time.
